Major Responsibilities
? Take the lead in creating and managing the annual University for a Night fundraising event and other donor cultivation and fundraising functions
? Take responsibility for the annual campaign and support all special campaigns
? Take responsibility for acknowledgements and tracking gifts
? Provide direct administrative support to the Senior Director and Development and Communications staff
Key Responsibilities
? Manage the execution of University for a Night including program development, direct mail solicitations, event planning and logistics
? Manage the receipting and acknowledgment of all gifts, coordinate and draft personal thank you notes for Chair and CEO
? Manage all income receivables
? Research and prepare comprehensive profiles of donors? giving histories, philanthropic interests, and giving capacity
? Maintain institutional donor files and Raiser?s Edge and all other records of importance to Development; help guide the use of Raiser?s Edge as a tool across Synergos
? Assist in the execution of the Annual Campaign and periodic fundraising events including prospect research and identification, and assisting in the development and writing of personalized solicitation
? Coordinate the recruitment of interns for the department
? Help prepare annual department budgets and monitor department budget
? Provide monthly fundraising updates to all staff
? Maintain department calendar and process all expense reports, handle all travel arrangements, and generally support department personnel
? Provide overall administrative support to the Senior Director
? Contribute to the development of a values based culture at Synergos and demonstrate adherence to organizational values
? Support and contribute to activities throughout the organization as needed

Qualifications
? Bachelor?s degree required, Master?s degree in a field related to international development a plus
? Minimum 4 years related work experience
? Excellent judgment and interpersonal relationship skills; comfortable working with stakeholders across various sectors and from diverse cultures around the world
? Outstanding organizational skills, including detail orientation, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and changing environment
? Self starting, willing to take initiative and display project management leadership, but also a good team player with strong interpersonal skills
? Outstanding written and verbal communications skills
? Prior experience with events
? Experience with using a data base for fundraising use a plus
? Demonstrated capacity to design and manage information and knowledge management systems
? Experience in developing and managing budgets
? Computer literate with a high degree of competence in Microsoft office software products
? Demonstrated commitment to high ethical standards
? A passion for the Synergos mission and values
? A sense of humor
